Well i can safely say that i didnt see in this year with a big bang....more like a wee pffft! or air. Thanks Paul for inviting me over and keeping my spirits high though. Still the best 2 days ive spent this year so far

Laid low on the art front for a while as ive been bogged down with real world matters like...fighting crime say...and that doesnt leave much time to put feet up and scribble. But i was in the library and picked up four books to get back to studying basics.

I often think art is like maths. I can remember how to do all the big equations and complicated malarky, but ask me how to do a simple long division and you'll get the vacant expression.

Ive become to realise that im in a time where people are free to "express" themselves through art. This is aimed highly at art students where the simple basics are often thought as being irrelevant and often taken for granted that the students will know the basics *maths reference* But are people really free to express themselves if they dont understand how to use their mediums to their true potential? I hate the thought that this is an "art for arts sake" matter" because not everything IS art
